Cooks Spinney were winners of their group and went on to win the tournament. They are through to the county final after Christmas! They really enjoyed the tournament and were getting better with each game that they played. They can't wait to play in the finals. https://t.co/y6l6uxDU0Q

Director of EYFS and Assistant Head of School

Assistant Head of School with Responsibility for Early Years, Designated Safeguarding Officer and Class Teacher of Unicorns Class

Francesca Harris has worked at Cook Spinney Primary school for the last 10 years.

Francesca started in the Nursery and has also worked in Reception and Year 1. She has now taken on the Assistant Head of School position for Early Years and the Foundation Stage.

Her passion for teaching started on the exotic shores of Dubai, where she started volunteering at the Assef School where her sister went to school. The school specialised in teaching children with special needs.

This led to Francesca and her mother to start the Prince William crèche and Nursery school which enjoyed 5 successful years. On her return to England she started her teaching career working in various schools which enabled her to familiarise herself the English curriculum.

Francesca believes that having a good relationship with children staff and parents is the first building block of their educational journey, this enables them to thrive and progress well throughout their school life. Francesca has high expectations and enjoys teaching a creative curriculum. She strongly believes that every child should be able to reach their full potential no matter what their needs or circumstances maybe.
