Visit from Robert Halfon MP

Posted: 5th December 2018

We emailed Robert Halfon MP asking if we could interview him regarding the potential closure of Mark Hall Library at The Stow. Mr Halfon MP replied that he would like to visit Cooks Spinney to meet the newspaper team.

He is against the closure and the children had a really positive interview in which he gave tips on what we could do to keep it open and how they could get a career in Politics.

The interview ended with the children being invited to Parliament in the New Year. The group are now planning on how best to achieve their goal of keeping the library open and are looking forward to visiting Parliament.
